3 Policemen Shot To Death In Abia State Road Checkpoint As Guns Also Taken Daily Trust is reporting that gunmen have attacked a police checkpoint in Agu Eze, Abiriba in Ohafia local government area of Abia state, killing three policemen. According to the report, the dead officers were identified as Inspector Austin Ugwu, Inspector Longinus Ugochukwu, and PC Ama Ifeanyi. Six Suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’instantly die in accident while celebrating new car Some young Nigerians have lost their lives following celebration over a newly acquired Lexus GX 460. The young men are believed to be internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo boys. Bad News For Students As Polytechnic Lecturers Announce April 9th General Strike Polytechnic lecturers in Nigeria have announced that they are embarking on a strike on April 6, 2021. According to The Guardian, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), said unresolved issues with the federal government and some states prompted their planned strike. ASUP said all federal polytechnics and some state-owned polytechnics must meet its demands. ASUP in a communiqué signed by its president, Anderson Ezeibe, accused the government of failing to pay 10 months arrears of the new minimum wage owed its members.
