To maintain a healthy(stagnant) battery after your screen-light turns off, make sure auto-sync is turned off. If you turn it off you won’t be able to automatically synchronize/back-up your data online which run on background most times but will save alot of battery.

Because auto-sync still runs on background after screen-lock, you will still get a background battery discharge. But if you save a contact while auto-sync is turned ofc you lose the chance of automatically backing it up online.

You can find the auto-sync button for android in settings, accounts, right top menu button, then the auto-sync toogle button.
