Falz has run into trouble with the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) because of the content of his ‘This is Nigeria’ video. The religious organization has asked the rapper to apologise and withdraw his video; or face legal action. Following the widely applauded initiative of US rapper, Childish Gambino, to capture the unfortunate happenings in the United States, in his ‘This Is America’ video; Falz made a cover version of the video that focuses on issues relating to the Nigerian society including the abduction of Chibok girls by Boko Haram terrorists and the incessant killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen. While the rapper has received plaudits for his uncommon initiative, some groups are unimpressed.
