Jay Z Weighs In On Meek Mill’s Release From Prison Meek Mill was released from prison earlier today, everyone from Kevin Hart & T.I. to G Herbo & Trey Songz have all taken to social media throughout the day to celebrate Meek’s release, and now his Roc Nation boss, Jay Z, has chimed in as well. Jay Z took to Facebook a little while ago, and left the following message, saying Meek was incarcerated unjustly and should be celebrated now. “Today, Meek Mill, a son of Philadelphia, is a free man.” Jay Z said in a statement. “He was incarcerated unjustly and caught in a probation trap for years by a broken system. Now we can celebrate his release.
