At least 32 killed in Egypt train crash after sabotage At least 32 people have been killed and 165 injured in a train crash in central Egypt, officials say. Two carriages derailed and overturned when two passenger trains collided near the city of Tahta, Sohag province. Emergency brakes were activated on the train in front by “unknown individuals”, causing the train behind to crash into it, the country’s railway authority said. President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi pledged tough punishment for those responsible. “Anyone who caused this painful accident through negligence or corruption, or anything similar, must receive a deterrent punishment without exception or delay,” he tweeted. Army releases full list of successful candidates for short service The Nigerian Army has released the list of successful candidates for the Nigerian Army Short Service Combatant Course 47/2021. According to Friday statement on their website, the candidates are to report for officer cadet training at the old site of the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. The candidates are to report at NDA (Old Site) with the following: a. Original credentials and SSC 47 online application print out that bears their passport photograph b. Four copies of 5 x 7 coloured photograph in suit and in full standing position without cap c. Two pairs of white (unmarked) round neck vests and navy blue shorts (without strips) d. Two pairs of black trousers. e. Two pairs of pure white canvas trainers (rubber type NOT acceptable). f. Two white bed sheets and pillow cases. g. One blanket (grey or army green colour). h. A set of cutlery. i. Two pairs of national dress or suit a
