Meet the 6-year-old mathematics guru that received educational sponsorship from an African-American A few days ago, reports circulated about the story of young Charles Mbena who is gifted with numbers. The boy from a humble background in rural Morogoro became an internet sensation when his teachers shared a video of his mathematical prowess. Mbena revealed that playing with numbers comes easy for him, something that makes him help his elder siblings come to him for help with arithmetic. When he was interviewed by journalists, his biggest wish was that he is moved to a better school because the Nyingwa Primary School he currently attends suffers from poor infrastructure and low education standards. The story of Mbena has come with good tidings as Ernest Makulilo, a Tanzanian based in the United States, offered to pay the young boy’s school fees.
