A while ago the media went wild with reports that a certain jeweler named Kaycee called out Davido for owing him N60 million. According to recent reports, Davido’s accuser recently tabled the case before the court. Some weeks ago, Kaycee, a jeweler, took to Instagram to call out Davido for owing him a huge sum of money to the tune of N60 million which is allegedly the proceed from a business transaction they were both involved in. The jeweler claimed he sponsored Davido and his cousin, B-Red, when they were broke and needed money to finance a project that later paid off but the duo played a fast one on him and made away with the money. The accusation generated mixed reactions from the public and Davido also. While public opinion was split between those for and against Davido, the singer chose to threaten his accuser with death. Davido‘s name has been linked to cult activities in South Africa. The singer has been accused of sponsoring Romeo, the Nigerian man who was recently killed in a cult clash in SA. It was recently reported that a Nigerian man named Romeo lost his life in a South African cult clash. New report has it that Romeo’s death was a retaliation by loyalists of another late Nigerian man named Aro, who was killed in SA a while ago. A certain @Culbary Williams made a post on social media, narrating how the late Romeo worked for Davido and how the singer tasked him to make a kill that eventually led to his (Romeo’s) death. Nigerian superstar singer, Davido, today remembered his late friend, DJ Olu who mysteriously died months ago Banana Island, Lagos. Davido and Tiwa Savage have been announced amongst the nominees for the 2018 BET Awards. The nominees’ list was made public on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 and the two pop stars were listed in the Best International Act category. The 2018 BET Awards is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 25, 2018, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States. The organizers of the awards published the list of nominees for the respective categories and the one of most interest to Nigerians is the category for Best International Music Act, which features Davido and Tiwa Savage amongst other first-rate artistes across the world. In 2014 Davido claimed the award for BET Best International Act: Africa, beating Diamond Platnumz, Mafikizolo, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage and Toofan. Davido is already planning to retire from music. He was born in 1992 and is just 25 year old, but has already achieved a whole lot in his life. He has risen to become one of the most recognizable faces in the Nigerian music industry and has bagged a lot of awards. In a recent interview with The Native, Davido hinted that he wants to retire from actively doing music when he turns 30, a mere five years away from the present day. Davido has been flaunting his girlfriend of 5 years everywhere on social media and he recently challenged others (artistes) to be brave enough to celebrate their lovers in public. A fan put Timaya in the mix and the  Egberi papa 1  threw a subtle shade at Davido. On Instagram, Timaya posted a picture of two lovers holding hands without revealing their faces. ​ Davido’s girlfriend, Chioma, celebrated her birthday yesterday, April 30th, 2018, and Davido practically dragged the whole industry to join him in celebrating her. Prior to Chioma’s birthday, Davido and his team members had flooded social media pages with posts of how April 30th, 2018 would be ‘Chioma’s day.’ Most people thought it was just random posts until the day came, and Davido started it by releasing his highly-anticipated song titled ‘Assurance’, to celebrate his lover. As much as Davido has a lot to celebrate, he does not seem to be able to stay away from controversies. The singer was recently called out by a certain Afolabi Kazeem who claims he (Davido) absconded with his 60 million Naira. In a lengthy post on social media, the accuser, using the handle  @michealkaycee  and claiming to be a jeweler, detailed how he did business with  Davido  to the tune of N60 million. In his narrative, he wrote that he met Davido through Davido’s cousin,  Chinedu Opute  (npz) and  B-Red,  and they transacted business that involved Davido going to London to finalize the deal. He stated that after the deal went through, Davido and his cousins pulled a fast one on him as they absconded with the money which he quoted to be worth about  120 thousand pounds (circa N60 Million) . Some hours ago, the singer tweeted that he would be celebrating ‘someone special’s Birthday’ on April 30th 2018, with the release of a new single and video, and he wants his followers to guess which of his unreleased songs it would be. The singer is known for his habit of sharing teasers of unreleased materials and he might be referring to any one of the studio teasers he had previously shared on his social media platform. A lot of fans have been guessing which of Davido’s teasers would be released on Monday, in the form of a song, and most of the suggestions have been about a love song for his celebrated girlfriend, Chioma. It was recently reported that Davido saw hell during his recent trip to Zimbabwe. Not only was it said that his performance was marred by fighting in the audience, Davido was also dealt with by a certain South African actress named Boity, according to multiple reports but the singer has come out to refute the story. Who knew Davido was savage? Well if you were ever in doubt, the singer has cleared the doubt with his recent act of spending $1000 to troll a non-fan on Instagram. A certain @hopewellc took to Instagram to narrate how Davido failed to command attention when he stepped into Zimbabwe’s Pomona Nando. He made this post perhaps with no intention to poke the singer but Davido is not a man to allow people smear him.
